I know i'm late on this story, but this is the first I saw of it. Several NCAA Division I powers, including Michigan State, Illinois and Xavier, were recruiting him, according to Yahoo! Sports Rivals.com.

In case you haven't heard of this, he beat his GF and it was caught on tape. She even asked that he not be sent to prison.
