Default Sneaker Prices Out of Control

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbxKDfuLAgw&nohtml5

I was watching this and the guy goes "$125, at it's price point you really can't go wrong"

....wtf? Why are we being charged these amounts for a bunch of plastic mass produced in a factory that cost 5 bucks to manufacture?

I see these "Jordan retros" come out every once in a while going for 170 bucks....wtf? Limiting quantity on decades old shoes to give off the image that they are some exclusive commodity like a rare painting or some sh!t...

It's just ridiculous that every halfway decent performance bball sneaker is coming out for 140+ bucks when these things are no harder or more expensive to make than box of tissues.

Agreed but until people stop buying them it's not going to get any better. I wish a brand like and1 would come out with something that performs as good as the leading brands

Last time I bought an over priced shoe was the Kobe Nike Dream Season X. It costs almost $200 dollars.

It's getting worse, and worse. Specifically from Nike. Plus the quality is going down, no more leather, all cheap synthetics / plastics. Then they go charge $100 or more. It's absurd. Even at the outlets they're over priced. The Nike one by me isn't even a big step down from retail prices the way they were in the old days. Even the premium performance shoes now aren't as good as you'd imagine.

Sneakers in general have been up. I was just at Dick's Sporting Goods and every shoe's price was on display. You didn't have to pick it up and look. All were at least $100 for Nike. It is also their new wired stuff therefore, they won't last as long. I saw a pair that I liked but didn't think it would last so I passed.

Sadly this is what is happening.

I never understand why Jordan charge us so much for sneakers. Especially when people die for them shits all of the time. Jordan is that dude basketball wise but come on man, have a little heart.

I don't see why sneaker heads never go all out for the holiday sales?

I got 3 new pairs of shoes that in total cost me less than $200 from Finish Line.

    1. Red/Black Nike Lunar Hyperquickness (Trevor Ariza/ O.J. Mayo shoes)

    2. Red Nike Prime Hype DF

    3. Black/Grey Nike Air Max Stutter Step 2 (Vince Carter shoes)

Sneakerheads are picky, and wanted limited releases. If it isnt limited, get it outta here. I havent bought jordans in awhile tho, but there are maybe 1 or 2 releases I am going to get this year.

Honestly, if you are spending more than $125 on a baseketball shoe, you are just paying for a brand name or a superstar's sneaker.

Can easily buy a nice set of bball shoes for $60-$80

I bought my KD III's for $85 and KD VI's for $120, I like both pairs the III's are more comfy but have less traction and a bit heavier while the VI's look better and give better performance. Overall the VI's are the better basketball shoes but not by a $40 margin.
