love vs. harden
since they both seem to get eviscerated for their D, who would you rather have on a team?
i actually like both but i'll side slightly towards love here unless you need a playmaker/1B on the offensive end.
i think it's more important to have a true perimeter defender or rim protecting C than anything else.

Love is a pretty good playmaker for his size....but id probably take Harden. IT would be hard to choose between the two but i think Harden can play D if he actually tries...It depends on what my team needs more but if it was 1st round draft id take Harden

Love. I've never been a fan of Harden's style of play that kills the offensive flow.

Give me Love. Harden is the worst defender in the league IMO. Love is a below average defender, which is enough to draw criticism for your D when you are a superstar caliber player otherwise. Harden is talented on offense, but he relies too much on iso and makes poor decisions with the ball.

Re: love vs. harden
I agree that the defensive issue is more important up front than on the perimeter. But Love is better defensively than Harden is, even accounting for the differences in what their jobs are. Love is also the best rebounder in the game. And his passing is a plus at his position.
The big thing though to me is that he can still function without the ball, because he can stretch the floor from a front court position. And he can do so at an elite level. Even if his scoring dropped to 18 a game, if he still got 12 rebounds a game, you're talking elite level production, and that's without considering what he's doing to the geometry of the offense by sucking bigs away from the rim.
