the reason i initially compared wiggins to jones is because both have guard/wing-man physiques but often play more like bigs, frequently exhibiting non-guard footwork and handle.
but i think i reached too low on that comparison.
a better comparison for wiggins would be kenyon martin with a slightly better handle and better shooting potential.
is that better?
you're an idiot.

He'll get the minutes and opportunities to really develop and showcase his skills. Good for him and for us.
Leave the cavs ? i don't see how getting traded to the worst franchise in the nba for over a decade can be good for anyone.

He'll be an elite defensive player, but i think, not elite on the offensive end.

that pretty much sums up wiggins - kenyon martin with a slightly better handle and better distance shooting.
the problem with wiggins is that his lack of true guard handle hurts him in his pull-up jumer game, which is non-existent... he's just a spot-up shooter with so-so touch around the rim.. actually, poor touch around the rim, just like kenyon.

Lol...Perry Jones and Kmart. What sort of nonsense is ISH on these days.
This kid is special. His ball handling is not bad. He handles the ball just fine for his position. He's not a point guard and doesn't need that Curry or CP3 handles to be effective. He needs Kobe type handles. Kobe is not a pg level ball handler either. He can do fancy moves but he sucks at running full speed end to end with the ball and making passes.
However, he has the #1 of all best handles in the halfcourt. He knows how to effectively cover 5 to 6 feet with quickness + power handles.
This is what Wiggins will do (and we can already see this). Playoffs are won in the halfcourt. He is showing two moves that are playoff tested moves - step back 2 point jumper, and a fadeaway. If he simply goes through a NBA season + 1 offseason and works on utilizing his first step quickness he'll be unstoppable on the offensive end. He has good-ish form on his jump shot. As with most volume scorers, once he gets into the rhythm of the game he'll be making shots all the time.
My prediction for the upcoming season:
36 mpg, 15.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 2.9 apg, 1.6 bpg and 1.7 spg on 44%
2nd season:
21 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 3.9 apg
3rd season:
Sky is the limit

Kevin Love and Kevin Garnett turned out ok.
Ok KG cried his eyes out because he was in a losing situation.
Being mentored by LeBron and practice against him every day is great, sure.
But how do you expect him to develop into a star player when he's the 5th man behind LeBron, Love, Irving and Waiters?
Even superstars like Wade or stars like Bosh had to take a step back in order to play with LeBron.
If you're the number one pick in the draft with tons of potential and the need to develop your skills in order to reach that elite NBA level, then I think it's better to be one of the main player in Minnesota rather than a defensive specialist spot up shooter in Cleveland.

better to get killed out west, miss the playoffs every year and develop losing habits then? you act like learning from lebron and playing in the playoffs every year would have been bad for him. also wiggins is a quite kid that dosnt like attention and in minny he will get plenty.
