    Jerry West was such a great player in all areas, that he was the model, the ideal, that coaches held up to players at all levels from pee-wee to the NBA, right up until the '90s.

    No doubt, West is one of the best 10-15 players of all-time. But him looking like Chandler Parsons and not Chris Kaman helped a lot too, don't you think?
