Re: GT Jazz vs. Lakers 10/16/14
This is easily the most encouraging game I've seen from Bryant in the 10 combined games he's played since the Achilles injury. He looked like a guy who could average 24/5/5 on decent efficiency. Also he's actually been trying defensively.

Kobe would've scored 30+ if he had made his FTs like he normally does. The team is just working out their kinks. The only guy who didn't impress me was Price.

Highest-scoring game since tearing his achilles. Really a decent showing by him considering how he started out and how his jumper was ON in the 2nd half. That no-look pass
He looks like he could put up 26-28 ppg on 43-46% shooting if he takes around 21-23 shots per game, which is encouraging, because he's easily looked the best out of everyone on this team and we're going to rely on him basically every game (not exactly rely, but he will be the only guy creating his shot consistently and making it, too).

And who plays to win pre-season games? It's still a scrimmage to these guys. It's not about winning, it's about executing your sets and trying different line-ups, seeing how your young guys would look while playing more minutes.
And? They didn't look as good as they did against Portland or the Clippers.
