Who will surprise this year in both conferences?

My friend and I were discussing and we both agreed on Pelicans in the West and I claimed that the Hornets will be a 4th seed and have a solid playoff run this year. I do believe the Hawks will regress, I still feel as I did then that it was a lucky year for them since the Knicks were playing horrid and there were many bottom feeders in the East.

I honestly think the Hornets will win 50+ games this year.

For the West, even though they made the playoffs last year I'd pick Memphis to be somewhat of a surprise team. I predict they'll have a great season and finish as a high seed.

I see so many people sleeping on the Sixers this year. No, we aren't a title contender but we have a lot of high upside guys on the squad. Noel is gonna be a staple in All NBA Defense selections for the next 15 years, I wouldn't be surprised if Hollis Thompson sneaks into the ASG in few years and we also have Hank Sims who IMO has the most raw talent out of any center prospect currently in the league.
