Default Can the Kings make the playoffs?

I know it is still early and they are in the West but I would love to see them get in. Their depth worries me though. Hopefully they can stay healthy and keep feeding the ball to the big man.

If they can acquire one of Avery Bradley or healthy Gerald Henderson yes, otherwise big ask in the West, if it were the East than yeah for sure. I'm just enjoying team basketball again from Sac-Town been a while.

The other problem with the Kings is they have the 5th toughest strength of schedule in the NBA as well.

The only way that the Kings can make the playoffs is if they have one of the top 8 records in the west. Other than that I just don't see how they can pull it off.

6 spots are automatically taken: Spurs, Clippers, Warriors, Mavericks, Blazers, Rockets.

Assuming the Thunder come back at full strength once KD and Westbrook return, I see them nabbing a seed as well, that leaves 7 spots.

That means there's one spot left, and the Kings (who have been consistently dog shit), have to beat out these teams that are better than them: Grizzlies (who will take the spot), Pelicans, and the Suns.

    So no, they won't.

It makes the East look pretty pitiful to be honest.

Will be damn hard but are off to a good start.

Still need a nice two guard and could take a consolidated upgrade at the four.

You don't think the Grizz are a lock to make the playoffs barring any massive injury? To me they are more of a lock than the Blazers.

Deep down I know they're a lock. The West has been locked up by the same 8 teams for like 2 years now, give or take a team. I was just trying to give some leeway.

But the real point is the Kings have absolutely no way to make it.

They got to 50 wins while Marc was out a big part of the season. Grizzlies aren't gonna miss the playoffs.

I'd put Memphis as more of a lock over Houston and Dallas as well.

Houston yeah but I really like Dallas they have all the ingredients for something nasty this season.

Houston might be the one to drop out depending on Howard's play. Dallas is a dark horse contender like GS, and Memphis can upset any one of the Spurs, Clippers, or Thunder. Pelicans might be the ones who surprise this year.
