This takes nothing away from Kobe's play on Andre, but that's prime hunting season for a chasedown. A lot of times those are "easier" blocks because the offensive player is lulled into a sense of security and doesn't go as hard as he should. Doesn't make the effort and result any less cool though.

Chasedowns are possibly my second favorite basketball play after dunking. Someone requested the MJ Wizards block earlier....

Kobe's an athletic freak, maybe the most athletic SG of all time, and has a ridiculous 6'11 wingspan, so its to be expected, nothing too special

One of the most underrated (defensive) players ever.
Top5 defensive forward of all-time (along with KG, Rodman, Duncan and Pippen).

He had the athleticism, the fundamentals, the will and the awareness... Dude could create TO's, block shots, play ball denial, defend multiple positions really well, never diry, hustled all out (provided a nice dose of very efficient offense even).
