It seems to be swept under the rug due the Lakers sucking. Damn shame you can tell the GOAT worked hard to get back to this level only for it to go to waste.

When MJ returned from his retirement in 95, he averaged 27 ppg on 41% shooting
Kobe had about the same amount of time off, with two major injuries and is averaging 27 ppg on 38% shooting currently....I mean, put things in perspective..
