His D is definitely better, but come on dude. You know that teammates greatly affect this stat that's why ****ing Steph Curry, Danny Green, Kostas and Donatas are on this list.

Said it once and I'll say it again. The transformation is complete, James Harden is one of the best defenders in the NBA. Period.

What teammates? Black, Dorsey, Canaan, Terry?

Tell me, which of these outstanding defenders are responsible for inflating Harden's numbers?

Motiejunas is a pretty solid pf defender better than people think, he is a not a shoot blocker but a good position defender who is long and stay on his feet, sometimes gets in foul trouble but good defense, and Kostas is all hustle the guy struggling with the shoot so far in the NBA but he work pretty hard on defense and that's was his reputation in Europe is not a fluke.

So Harden have been without Beverly a Dwight for a big chunk of the season, so who are you attributing his rating?

People are looking for any excuse to put him under the microscope. They will ignore all the improvement but the people with an agenda will go with what suits their agenda. You just have to ignore it.

It's hilarious how before the season started the naysayers were like "Houston probably won't even make the playoffs. Look at that garbage roster they have."

Now that Harden is leading his team to W's both offensively and defensively the narrative has changrd. "It's not all Harden, look at old man Terry, the European 2nd rounder and Tarik Black. Harden is benefiting from his teammates."

The truth is Harden can win DPOY, MVP and FMVP in the season and he still won't get the respect he deserves. Let the haters be. They'll have to deal with reality sooner or later.

12-3 with no Howard, Jones and Beverley. We're also one of the best defensive teams in the NBA. Suck it haters.

Harden is a good defender. When he tries.

He has been trying this season.

Come on you little shit you left out Ariza, Bev, and Dwight ****ing Howard

To El - He 100% is a great defender now, is he top 10? I can't honestly believe that.

Its funny how alot of posters here wont' give Harden credit when credit is due...hes been without Bev, Howard, and T Jones for majority of the season. Hes a good defender this year because hes actually been trying, and hes never been a bad defender, just a lazy one.

You're right they shouldn't count at all. I guess he's also won every single game by himself and scored 60 points a night. Jesus ****ing christ I can't believe how homerish every single rockets fan on this website is. You really can't just accept that he's a top 30-40 defender now he just has to be top 10 because finally a stat on defense works in his favor. He also leads the league in defensive win shares let's just give him DPOY
