    Because he's Alpha!

When you are headed for a high draft pick, winning the game is actually choking.

Sounds like because he is the COACH and Byron Scott is just in a suit on the sideline looking crazy

Aren't many jobs where you can make 20+ mil in a year.

Huge loss. Beating the twolves would've be catastrophic to the tank.

But that is Kobe. Most posters on ISH would eschew the $20 mil and go back to work at their 9-5 jobs.

Bad loss, but I think Kobe played decent, not too many shots and he was sharing the ball. Nice Fg%.

He could have been better in the crunch but I will not hold it against him.

Improvement, even if it's a bad loss.

Lakers lost this game on the defensive end of the floor... should have never been this close

funny thing about this season is last year Magic Johnson would have been on twitter ripping D'Antoni to shreds this season silence

Last year 7-8 at this time, this year 3-12 and Magic is silent because it's his buddy B Scott at the helm

Other than an aging Kobe, what other Laker would start for another NBA team?

I went and looked up the clutch stats for Kobe just to see:

    Per 36 minutes:

    34 points / 1 board / 1 assist on 35/10/80 shooting (42.3% TS) 93 ortg 116 drtg

    Ugh...

Looked up Harden just for a frame of reference:

    43 points / 5 boards / 5 assists on 55/60/87 (79.5% TS) 100 ortg 94 drtg

It's early so those numbers are going to change a ton, but so far Kobe and the Lakers have just been awful in close games.

Last year D'Antoni didn't even have Kobe

The team racked up the highest total games missed to injury in NBA history

What other coach would have done better in LA last season considering the hand Mike D. was dealt?
