    Excluding possible injuries...

    55-57 wins max.

I doubt it. They've had several games already that could have gone either way but have pulled through.

Exactly. They are 14-2, but only have a +7.8 ppg differential.

Max? Nah...that is what they were 2 years ago and this team is better. If we aren't talking injuries...this team is capable of something special.

Over the last 3 years with a healthy Marc Gasol:

    2013....55-25
    2014....40-19
    2015....14-2

Their max is not what they did in 2013 if healthy....it's definitely better than that imo.

    We shall see.

Even 2014 was at about a 56 win pace.

65 wins is a lot of wins especially in a conference as competitive as the west. i don't see this team being that good.

I'm not disagreeing with this, but saying the Grizzlies will win more than 65 games because of the east is just not true.

I'm not saying they will win 65...although it's certainly possible.

I'm saying setting the max at 55 to 57 like you did is silly given the evidence and excluding injuries as you said.

55 to 57 is what is expected....that is who this team is when Gasol plays. So it's just a simple matter of whether or not they exceed their expected record or not.

I think with some luck and a few breaks...they could win 62....and with some bad luck and bad breaks...could win 49. That range is pretty huge given how competitive the West is and how little of the season we've played so far.

My only contention was that you are setting their max way too low if you are projecting without injuries. With expected injuries? Then that is a different discussion.

they appear to be the type of team that win on the nights they are suppose to win.

oddly enough, that puts you in the category of a possible 65+ win team
