    Default Actual Heights

Some interesting facts about the actual heights of NBA players...

    http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre-draft-measurements/

DeAndre Jordan: 6-9 3/4...same height as Bill Russell.
Andre Drummond: 6-9 3/4...same height as Bill Russell.
Demarcus Cousins: 6-9 1/2...shorter than Bill Russell.

And we know that Dwight Howard is also 6-9 3/4, or same height as Bill Russell.

And, where are all of the seven-footers who supposedly litter NBA rosters? Hell, even 6-11 players are not as common as the NBA guides would have you believe.

Small detail, Dwight is only 6-9, not 6-9 and 3/4.

Also, biggest height exaggerations that I've seen thus far would probably be Kevin Love and Michael Beasley. Both are 6'7" but get listed at 6'10".

And lawwwwd, Blake is 6'9" with a 6'11" wingspan. Beta as FVCK.

Demarcus is a legit 6-10 barefeet

He grew a little during his first year

Besides; it just makes his dominance THAT much more impressive.

The modern day Charles Barkley except he'll end up with some championship gold

    Thanks for the clarification.

This topic is one of your areas of expertise (and I know that you have posted them before), but please feel free to add known player heights.

    Like Ben Wallace: 6-7
Charles Barkley: A shade under 6-5.
Ralph Sampson: Same height as KAJ (A shade under 7-2)
    Hakeem: 6-10

Of course, what is fascinating about the CURRENT NBA, is that there are very few legit seven-footers, and not many more legit 6-11 players.

People run faster and jump higher than they used to.

Do you think the NBA avoids applying to this fact?

That's why the 6-7 Kevin Love ran away with a rebounding title a couple of years ago. And a 37 year old Steve Nash, playing 33 mpg, led the league in apg a couple of years ago. And a 6-11 broken down Andrew Bogut led the NBA in bpg a couple of years ago. Hell, how about fulltime starter Ricky Rubio shooting .357 from the field a couple of years ago?

And how does a 38 year old Tim Duncan still rank among the best players in the league? And a 36 year old Kobe, and after two major operations, scoring 25.4 ppg?

Yep...a much better taller, longer, bigger, faster, stronger, and more athletic NBA today.

    Not really.

Your height just is what it is. What you are doing at the moment to modify what it appears to be shouldn't be recorded as official.

No need to take it to an extreme and weigh guys naked....

But your listed height shouldnt be what you decide to make it with that days shoes. Thats exactly why they measure barefoot.

Short guys trying to BS their way into a higher pick by wearing shoes to come off taller than reality.
