Default Might as well go full tank mode and let Kobe pile on the stats

Least Lakers can do for Bryant since they threw away his few good years on shitty contracts

Hasn't that been what they've been doing? No one thought this team was going to contend, except losers on ISH.

Least they can do? He's gotten to play on a contending team for pretty much all of his career other then 5 seasons. They don't owe him shit. Most great players, if not all, have had it worst then he did for their overall careers when it comes to talent around them.

I don't really like this point because this just isn't true, all of the top10 players that people regularly list have played with at least 2 other hall of famers at some point in their career especially during their prime.

    MJ: Pippen/Rodman
    Magic/Kareem/Worthy
    Bird/Mchale/Parish
Russell played with at least 3-4 and so did Wilt

    more recently wade/lebron and shaq/kobe

also not sure if gasol will be in hall of fame but if he isn't then bryant will be the first to win 2 back to back championships with 0 other hall of famers

What? We knew this team sucked, most Laker fans didn't think we'd get a win till like 12-15 games into the season. Some of us consider our current record pretty impressive.

The team is bad. With or without Bryant. Get over yourselves.

Kobe played with Shaq/Malone/Payton in 04 and Howard/Gasol/Nash in 2012. And if you don't think that fits your criteria, so what? First off, its a bullshit arbitrary criteria anyway. Neither Jordan, Bird, Wilt, or Lebron have ever played with another top 10-11 player of all-time while they were in their primes that was winning MVPs and FMVPs during that same time. Second, a big reason those teams those Kobe teams didn't stick together is cause of Kobe's attitude/style of play. Bottom line is Kobe has had about 14 seasons out of 19 seasons where he played on a contending team, or at least a team that should've contended, 1997-2004 and 2008-2013. Its ridiculous to act like the Laker organization has "failed" him. Even Kobe seems to acknowledge that with what he has said about his management this year.

For how long will they "tank"? This excuse has been going for some years now.... Lakers need to stop sucking Kobe's dick and care more about the franchise....
