Default Revisiting the Rondo trade-one month in

I said at the time it was a terrible move and the Mavs are just over .550 with him.

Who else here wishes Dallas still have Jameer, Wright, etc?

    Updated #s 5 wks post Rondo deal: Mavs (11-5), Def Rating 99.4 (6th), Off RTG 106 (7th), worst 3pt D pre-trade 39.2%, 2nd best since 30.4%
    https://twitter.com/MFollowill/statu...99692876648448

    Per NBA.com:
    Mavs w/ Rondo DRTG = 93.7
    Warriors' first-ranked DRTG = 96.2
    Mavs w/o Rondo DRTG = 114.7
    Lakers' last-ranked DRTG = 110.2
This were stats from a while ago, rondo is clearly not what's wrong with the Mavs

the day the Mavs acquired Rondo in a deal with the Boston Celtics - they were 19-8. Since then, they are 11-7.

That stat is so skewed. When you have zero depth of choose your defense will struggle.

Rondo is legit, and he's been fine for the Mavs, but their lack of depth got even worse. Their backcourt was passable since Monta just made things happen.

If they don't get another useful body or two, they are gonna be skating on thin ice.

A quick first round exit. Lets not act like he'll magically turn into the team's best player.

I guess he will put up something like 12/8/6 with 43%TS and above average defense.

If they lose in the 1 round it's because of the lack of big man. But other than the 8 seed regular season really means nothing this year.

Houston Portland Memphis Spurs are all good teams, so it doesn't matter who you get in the 1 round.

Dallas practically got Rondo for nothing, we are not talking about a run of the mill player here it's Rajon Rondo.
