The #1 pick in the 2016 NBA draft?

You have got to be kidding.

He MAY get drafted, based solely on his size, but even if he does, he looks like a career back-up in the NBA, at best.

He has BUST written all over him.

I get so tired of these ridiculous threads about these so-called "great Euros."

    The REALITY of Euroleague...

Where a washed-up 40 year old like Bob McAdoo just destroy those leagues.

Or a well-below average NBA player like Anthony Parker is considered not GOAT-like, but GOD-like.

Where a Ricky Rubio was considered the "Maravich" of the Euroleague, and yet is now firmly entrenched as the most inefficient shooter from the field in NBA history.

Where a hippo like Sofoklis Schortsanitis was at one time considered a "baby Shaq."

And where a complete bust in the NBA like V-Span is considered the GOAT European.

Be thankful for Dirk, who is, by far, the GOAT Euro.

The rest of Euroleague...pure trash that would struggle in the D-League.

I read that we were supposed to "cream our pants" at how much better he is than Kristaps Porzingis who was selected #4 this year.

He is also the 2nd biggest freak of nature out of high school when it comes to athleticism and size after shaq.

If this guy isn't the unanimous #1 pick next year Euroleague has been lying to us all along. Who would have thought?

Given his mediocre stats in his Euroleague seasons, I see a future Darko Milicic.

Sorry, you were right. Given his pathetic stats in his own age group in Europe, he is nowhere near a #1 NBA pick, and more than likely, will follow the many other 7-0+ busts that Europe has provided the NBA.

The 7-foot-1 Papagiannis signed a multi-year deal with Greek champion Panathinaikos but has the option to return to the States this summer.

While playing last summer in the U17 FIBA Championships, he averaged 8.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in seven games. Against the United States, he went for 16 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists.

Playing a year up in the U18 European Championship, he averaged 5.3 points and 5.6 rebounds in limited minutes.

Greece can't produce a player like that.

Euroleague, where NBA draft rejects, 40 year old has-beens, and bench-warmers, dominate their lessor talented Euros.
