he may take more shots than him but he will always defer to him in the clutch(and whoever has the ball in the clutch is the alpha of the team its a unwritten rule of basketball) like a good beta dog

It'll be interesting to see what happens. He's definitely deferred to KD in the past, but this is the first time he's gotten the chance to be the alpha dog and he's really dominated.

It's the other way around.
Westbrook always played too much like a number one...and the problem was that back then Durant was much better. But now this is not the case so much anymore. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Durant-Westbrook is a case study in how inordinate emphasis is placed on who is the "#1 option" and who is the "#2 option." It simply has a minimal impact on what each player does on the court. These aren't military units or police forces with clearly delineated hierarchies. These are basketball teams where guys bounce a ball and then usually pass it around.
Regarding the OP, a major criticism of KD among some was he did not "dominate" Westbrook and Westbrook consumed as many possessions as Durant.Last edited by Roundball_Rock; 03-04-2015 at 11:57 PM.

When its winning time westbrook ALWAYS gives the ball to durant.Even he doesnt do that dumb chucking shit when the game is on the line he gives him the ball and moves out the way like a good beta dog.Like i said earlier whoever has the ball in the clutch is the true alpha on the team its a unwritten rule in basketball.
