Default What if the Warriors accepted the Klay for Harden deal?

Presti wanted Klay but the Warriors turned him down. What if the Warriors accepted? Would they be better or worse?

Warriors would be worse. Harden needs the ball in his hands to make the most of his value. Klay is an amazing spot up shooter and compliments Curry and doesn't necessarily need the ball in his hands to maximize his value due to his incredible spot up shooting ability.

much worse, Harden would straight up cannibalize Steph's game and render him redundant

Klay is pretty much a SG that will fit on any team, Harden needs pieces built specifically around him

Klay > Harden when it comes to team basketball and it's not even that close

    Westbrook
    Klay
    Durant
    Ibaka
    ??

Center is unknown. Because they didn't trade to Houston, they don't get the pick that turns into Adams. They might not have the assets to trade for Kanter either, or Waiters for that matter. Guessing it'd still be Perkins unless some other deal comes through.

Klay is perfect for OKC. He plays almost entirely off ball so Durant and Westbrook don't have to change their style. He's the 3pt sniper they need on offense and the defensive stopper at SG that Brooks always falls in love with (Sefolosha, Roberson). Can also create for himself when Durant and Westbrook are either out or just in a slump.

    Result?

    chip.

Harden averages 7 assists per game as a shooting guard, he's all about team.

Harden's ego is too big for GS. He wouldn't buy into the system.

Assists don't tell the whole story about teamwork.
