Emeka Okafor (2004) < Dwight Howard
Brandon Roy (2006) < LaMarcus Aldridge
Derrick Rose (2008) < Russell Westbrook
Tyreke Evans (2009) < 1a. Steph Curry 1b. James Harden
Damian Lillard (2012) < Anthony Davis
Michael Carter Williams (2013) < Giannis Antetokounmpo

That's an overstatement. He only played 25 games, and his stats weren't anything spectacular.

Or Redd. Crawford. Turkoglu. Miller has an argument if you're building a team, imo. He easily slots into any contender better than possibly anyone in the class.

a player in a bad situation usually wins over a guy who is forced to work his way up while winning
