As bad as the East is, should this even be seen as an accomplishment? I think anything less than the Finals would be a massive failure given the garbage in the Eastern Conference.

The East is a smidge better than it was during the Heatles run when it was literally the worst conference in NBA History (post merger). Injuries have destroyed some teams that were set to be contenders. If the Bulls get healthy in time, it could be an accomplishment. Have to wait and see how it all goes down.

He still made the finals. In the West. Knocking out the defending champion Spurs.

Meanwhile, Bron has both Kyrie AND Love healthy, and is playing in a Conference about 1000000x worse than the 2008 West.

It would be crazy if a player "who will be remembered as better than Kobe" didn't make the finals in such a pathetic conference with such a loaded team. Would be very damaging to his legacy.
