'accomplishment' devoid of official accolade can only be understood as exceeding expectations.
the expectation for the cavs going into this season was to win a championship. the expectation for lebron right this moment is for him to win a championship.
anything less will be a disappointment.
thus losing in the finals will not be seen as an accomplishment by ANY ONE. except maybe the real youngsters on the team who will be proud but stay quiet about it.

Hawks/Spurs would indeed be one of the worst ratings in finals history.
