What makes me think it wasn't was how he resisted screaming, he tried to keep his dignity. But who knows, i don't remember how it went down in the books.

I think if it was the real Mance, and he knew he was dying of burning beforehand, he would have resisted screaming like a bitch.

Little Finger and Sansa talked about Rhaegar and Lyanna in crypts in episode 4. A few scenes later Barristan talked about Rhaegar to Dany.

How would you know though? In the book no one knew it was a "fake Mance" (I dont understand why people are using the term body-double) until later on. Book readers also assumed he was dead at first didnt they?

I'm just assuming he's dead. Martin said there will be characters who will die in the show who didn't die in the books. I believe Mance and Barristan are the characters he's talking about.

Only difference is Mance is dying the same way he is now in the show as he did in the books aside from the bastard stepping in. I'm part of the school that believes Mance wrote the Pink Letter... unless their giving that role to Theon or Stannis....

Seemed a bit too much, considering Jaime never did like his father a lot, at least compared to his love for Tyrion, and that Jaime knew that Tyrion had reason to kill Tywin.

Yea that part didn't make much sense. I still don't understand why they never brought up the beef between tyrion and jamie in the show, it makes everything make more sense.

And clearly they are going away from the books a lot with Sansa. The end of ep 4 was just sad. RIP Baristan the Bold.
