he's not going to make that money though, not guaranteed. its designed that way so that the cavs could use his contract in a trade and then the team that gets him could immediately drop him without having to pay.

Good, he deserves it. I was honestly shocked to see him on the Cavs bench, it was my first time seeing him in over 4 years.
