Stephen Curry's FMVP Case
Beyond the pure statistics, and clear impact let's take a breakdown look at why he should be the FMVP.
In the most important game of the season/decade/franchise, against the best player in the world, on the road, fighting momentum he delivered when it mattered.
Warriors were up 57-42 in the beginning stages of the 4th quarter. Neither Curry nor Iggy did especially great throughout the 3rd, or anyone else on the Dubs really for that matter. Cavs took em out back and pounded em on the glass, got to the line, James kept getting fouled, etc and brought themselves, with all the momentum back to 73-70 with 34 seconds left in the 3rd quarter.
-Curry makes a three pointer pointer with 17.9 second left in the 3rd on a ridiculous step back shot over James Jones to end the quarter up 76-70.
-Curry dimes it ahead to Green perfectly for a catch and dunk transition dunk to put them ahead 78-70.
-Curry rebounds it.
-Curry fastbreaks it, gets it to Thompson to put them ahead 80-70.
-Curry running floater, puts them at 82-70.
-Curry three pointer, puts them ahead 85-72.
In those 4 minutes he scores 8 points, and dimes for layups/dunks on the other 4 points and puts his team ahead by 13 in the 4th and out of reach for the Cavs.
Not taking anything away from Iggy, but it is clear why the Warriors won. Their MVP took control of the game when it mattered most. Iggy is playing at the level he always should have been (excellent defender, hitting wide open shots), but in no way does that mean he has been the MVP.

4 minutes in 1 game of a (at least) 298-minute series is normally all the time we need to decide who the best player is

Game. Set. Match.
Re: Stephen Curry's FMVP Case
Why don't you talk about the first half. I love Curry, but he's been a no-show for large stretches of games throughout the series. Obviously he's still the best player on the team, but for me, Iggy has been both the most consistent and effective player on our team. It's shocking really.
