Why are Gay people never criticized for other things?
There seems to be an unwritten rule that homosexuals are excluded from any type of criticism. Criticism that is totally unrelated to their sexual preference. Often if one does, he/she is quickly labeled as a homophobe/gay basher. Ridiculous
"Miguel has an attitude problem. I don't like him."
"You are a homophobe"
"Michael Sam will is a scrub who couldn't cut it in the NFL."
"Leave him alone"......Nevermind the fact that there have been hundreds or thousands of players cut from teams are referred to as "scrubs" or mocked in some other kind of way, yet Sam gets a pass because he is gay.
Anyone notice this?

Re: Why are Gay people never criticized for other things?
We live in a culture of victimization and entitlement and this is what you get.
Combine that with Political Correctness running amok and pretty soon no one will want to live here.

You seem really upset about this. Most of these new school cats (if thats what you wanna call it) swim upstream. Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, the list goes on.

I'm not. Don't care, just didn't know.
I looked it up, and he is actually dating some fine ass model. So irrelevant, but I was more trying to understand OP's point.
What is with your hate for Miguel? Dude makes good music that puts chicks in the mood.

I don't think that is a thing. If it is, I've never heard if it.

Pretty much except for the bolded.
The OP's logic can be applied for minorities or any underrepresented groups. White guy makes a joke about Germans no one blinks an eye. Same guy makes a joke about Mexcians well the guy better walk on eggshells when explaining the joke. The fact these PC ultra-liberals think that underrepresented groups are not capable of defending themselves is more demeaning to these groups than most of the "controversial" statements thrown out IMO.

People all over espn called Sam a scrub from day one and projected him into the 5th round.
I've never heard someone call out a gay guy for being a prick or douche only to be called a homophobe in return.

They view saying something about a minority like a man hitting a woman or like making fun of a handicapped person.
