    Default Kobe Bryant (25-day stretch in 2007): 65, 60, 53, 50, 50, 50, 50, 48, 46, 43, 39, 34

I still can't believe how quickly they forget. If Kobe did this in the era of twitter and social media he would be proclaimed the G.O.A.T. Just amazing stuff.

7 of those are equal to or higher than his post season career high. GOAT of what exactly?

Team record during that period: 7 - 5...against terrible teams...

'07 Kobe gets overlooked. Most people always bring up 2006, 2008, 2003 and 2001, but 2007 is right up there as well. He was slowed down initially by a knee surgery, but here's what he put up month by month afterwards that season: 31/5/5, 29/6/6, 30/6/5, 40/6/5, 34/6/6 (all usually on 46-47% shooting with a lot threes, except February when he shot just 44%). I think early in the season when the team was healthy, you saw him control the game, like you would in second half of '08. He was making everyone better, had a great balance of scoring/playmaking. The Lakers were 26-13 midway through the season, and then injuries hit the team and they tailspinned. After a 6-7 game losing streak Phil Jackson asked Kobe to shoot more, and he reached that superhuman scoring mode in March/April to keep Lakers in the playoffs. He was still very quick and athletic in the second half of that season, but his game was also mature and polished. Really a shame he didn't have a chance to put up a deep playoff run with a great cast, the Lakers were outmatched badly in the first round.

I wonder if Wilt ever had a streak (or streaks) as impressive?
