because he didnt runaway in his prime to join two other superstars in the league in hopes of making everything easier on himself. you know, he doesnt have that baby mentality.

I still can't believe Luke Walton was the third best player on the team. Then they had a rookie Jordan Farmar taking Smush's starting job by the time the playoffs rolled around. That roster was such a wreck, but Kobe made the Lakers fun to watch. Too bad he played in a stacked conference because things would have been different in the east.

So why the need to make it known before the draft, that Kobe will only sign with the 2nd greatest franchise in NBA history? A team who already had all-stars, won 53 games and was a 4 seed the year before. Plus knew Shaq was coming to LA.
