Star free-agent forward LaMarcus Aldridge has agreed to sign with the San Antonio Spurs, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Aldridge, who turns 30 on July 19, has spent all nine seasons of his NBA career with the Portland Trail Blazers, developing into one of the league's best big men. He has been an All-Star each of the past four years and was named to the All-NBA second team last season after averaging a career-best 23.4 points with 10.2 rebounds and one block per game.

I like how people here are trolling Laker fans as if any of us actually expected to get Aldridge after two shitty meetings. We've known since yesterday it was between the Suns and Spurs. Anyhow, it'll be interesting to see how this works. Just adding a great player doesn't mean a team is going to automatically thrive, but it seems like he already has bought into the Spurs system, so in theory, they're a lock for the finals.
