Not healthy and they'll be looking up at the Jazz in the division.

2 MVP candidates? They used to have 3 MVP candidates and they still lost in the finals. Their style of ball is dumb as hell too.

wtf? they have two MVP candidates and arguably a top 10 PF .. they almost made the playoffs with KD and WB missing a bunch of games AND scott brooks as a coach ..

The Thunder have more depth than people think: Kanter averaged 18 and 11 with the Thunder. Adams is a starting-quality center who will be coming off the bench now for Kanter. Morrow can go off in any game and had his best numbers last year with the Thunder. Dj Augustin could probably start at PG for a couple of teams in the league, and now we've got a lottery pick in Cameron Payne joining him, who could have easily gone top 10 in the draft.

Not to mention one of the best defensive players in the game, plus two MVP candidates.

Our style of play used to hurt us so badly. Brooks was a terrible coach and didn't know what he was doing, yet was still able to lead the Thunder to 3 WCF and a Finals, simply because of the quality of players he has.

Imagine what a real coach and a real coaching staff (Donovan, Monty Williams, Mo Cheeks) can do.

I keep saying this but Donovan doesn't have to be an amazing coach for the Thunder to be successful. He just has to be better than Brooks and the team will be better. And that shouldn't be that hard to do.

agree with everything except for Kanter not being a net negative. You can't have your center as a revolving door on defense. You just can't. The most inept guard/ big pnr combo can just pick on him all game.

Kanter hopefully comes of the bench. Hes one of the worst defenders of alltime, he would be a great in a 6th man big scoring role

Ibaka is also pretty good. Losing Reggie and Harden has done some pretty serious damage to that team.

    Well let's see
    A
They have the best player in the nba(durant)
    A top 3 pg in the nba(Westbrook)
One of the best shot blockers(Ibaka)
One of the best post scorers(kanter)
    One of the best shooters(morrow)
    The best backup C(Adams)
One of the best backup PG(Augustin)
A developing backup PF with great potential(McGary)

The team has 2 weaknesses. Injuries and Waiters chucking. If they can't prevent those 2, they're the best team in the NBA

You forgot Singler. He'll do much better this year. He's actually a pretty decent player.

The only real weakness is Waiters. I just can't feel good about the Thunder winning it all...which means beating at least two of the Spurs, Warriors, Cavs....with Waiters playing a real role on this team.

The margins are too slim. They need to dump him and try to patch together something there.

Presti, for whatever reason, has really wet the bed at the 2 guard position since 13....when the Thunder had their best team to date (outside of this current team).

I have no idea what he is actually thinking.

    - At worst, when healthy, Durant is the second best player in the NBA.

    - How is Ibaka not one of the top shot blockers in the NBA? How in the hell is that wrong?

    - All other deficiencies aside, Kanter is a really damn good back to the basket scorer. So, again, not sure how what he said there is wrong.

    - Morrow absolutely is one of the best spot-up, knockdown 3P shooters in the NBA.

    - Adams may not be the best backup center in the league, but he's a damn good one.

    - Augustin absolutely is one of the best backup PGs in the NBA.

    - And McGary showed plenty of flashes last year in his rookie season of having a lot of promise.

Because usually, when all else is close, the best player is the key to winning a series and they have the 2 best players in any series in the West, plus a 3rd player who is a semi star.

They actually have a lot more depth than given credit for. Adams,Mcgary,Kanter and Ibaka is an insanely young and talented big man group. On the wing behind Durant and Morrow(one of the best shooters in the league), they have Singler,Roberson,Waiters,Huestis and Novak. They are very young and talented.

Payne and Augustin is very nice behind Westbrook too and one or both will play in a backcourt with him frequently.
