Kidd played a spurs team with peak Duncan and still having drob, just as well if not better than cp3 played them 5 years later w/ their best player exiting his prime.. while having less help than Paul had on those hornets.


Kidd is just a better leader, tougher, and most of all leads by example instead of running his mouth, flopping and playing like a spoiled brat all game. Kidd also has that knack for setting up a play 2 maybe 3 passes from a finish.. his in the flow passing was chess like seeing a move or two ahead out of nowhere.. combining it with his great rebounding/fastbreak transitions, just a genius player.

Paul is the typical pound the rock til he gets a mismatch and either score or hit the one off easy pass to the open guy.. it's very effective until he decides to stop applying the pressure late in playoff games and chokes em away.

but under most circumstances, imo paul's game will translate better than kidd's.

Jason Kidd played in the flow of the game. CP3 takes control of the flow of the game.

Not saying that CP3 is better. They had similarly great vision and defense. CP3 takes more J's off the dribble.

Why does no one mention Kidd's flaws and only mention Paul's weaknesses.
Jason Kidd was a terrible scorer while Chris Paul is one best scorers for his position.
People hate Paul for not shooting enough but you don't want Kidd to shoot at all.
