Wiggins and Klay aren't elite scorers or 1st options, while Wade, AD and Kyrie are

The issue is that Lebron can't carry the scoring load against top teams (too ball-dominant), so he needs more scoring help.

Otoh, expert jumpshooters like Curry or MJ can carry the scoring load with sufficient brand of ball to beat the best teams... Since they can carry the scoring load, they can win with secondary producers at sidekick like Wiggins, Kyle Lowry, Pau or Pippen.

Ultimately, GM's prefer to build a team with cheap defenders, but this requires a 1st option that can carry the scoring load, i.e. expert jumpshooters like Curry, MJ, Kobe, or Kawhi that can carry the scoring load with sufficient brand of ball to beat the best teams.
