In particular, Coach Pop makes 6 mil a year but somehow Kobe should get 8 mil for "coaching" players to be his ball boys and passing machines.
the spurs organization is notorious for underpaying their employees
pop is worth 20 mill as a coach to be quite honest

Re: Why Kobe Bryant is the most underpaid person in the world
Considering the fact that Kobe is set to make ~$2M more than LeBron next season, I'd say that he's overpaid by $23M.

Oh please provide the mathematics that you used to reach that. I'm also interested in how you came to 5 million a year to be a personal trainer (who doesn't personal train). Just post your excel file if you don't want to explain how you created comps, priced wins above replacement, etc.

lebron deserves nearly 150 mill too though
hes not quite as good at coaching as kobe is. and he didnt quite bring as much in terms of revenue from world wide merchandising, tv contracts.... but hes worth a sh*t ton more than he can theoretically make regardless
and its nobodies fault but lebrons for not making 30-35 mill a season yet
he stunted the growth of his contract TWICE by bailing on a cleveland and miami
he took pay cuts both times to ring chase, collude. thats all on him

heres the mathematics
pop is 4 times the coach anyone else is
and kobes atleast a better coach than fisher is... who makes 5 mill.. if he makes 5. kobes worth 8

That's not how pricing works. There's a baseline assumption in value add by anyone competent to be a coach. From there you'd need to look at the marginal value of additional wins from a financial perspective for the team. Now at that point you'd need to figure out what the pricing curve should look like as additional utility is added. From there you can factor in marketing and other items, but it seems you stripped that value out and priced it separately for Kobe.

He doesn't. He probably "deserves" ~$35M and that's about it. He still makes over $50M a year in endorsements.

floyd mayweather makes 150 million per fight.
and you think lebron is worth 35 million per year
i mean i know pay per view boxing is different. it costs nearly 100$ per fight
but with league pass and tv subscriptions. i guarantee each home viewer is contributing more than that on a yearly basis in order to watch their favourite player
premium league pass up here is 164$ a year
and if a guy buys league pass. 8 times out of 10 its to watch either kobe or lebron.
the lakers signed a multi billion dollar tv deal. the nba signed a multi billion dollar tv deal...
and all this money is mainly due to its top stars
yet they get peanuts back in return

You're underestimating the value on tickets sales alone.

Boxing - 2 athletes and 1 fight
Basketball - ~15 athletes and 82 games per team
Boxing doesn't have a salary cap. Basketball does.
Serious question before I waste my time typing up a longer reply: did you graduate form HS?

you act as if 90% of the nbas revinue isnt directly related to its stars
sh*t.. just take kobe and lebron away and the NBAs stock would drop 500%
then if you took away curry, durant, harden, westbrook, paul... the NBA would be bankrupt within a matter of weeks
the nba would lose 95% of its viewers
considering 25 teams lose money. and the 5 that actually turn a profit are ones that host a top tier name more often than not
the only ones that would survive regardless are chicago, LA and new york
in the end.... its obvious the leagues average salary for every non superstar should be around 100k.
guys you wouldnt even recognize on the street making 10 mill+ is just ludicrous
