Moreover, in a way Severus was heroic in not needing the praise or validation of the other Gryffindor good guys, and was an agent of the protagonists all along. He also, in a way, becomes Harry's sons true father seeing as how Harry had been molded by him in the 7+ years and the multiple interactions they've had. You can argue that in the Harry Potter afterlife he may end up f*cking Lily to a pulp too.

He was a weird dude in the books and definitely in the movies. Harry's father was really mean to him yet he still wanted to help Harry out due to his undying love or something for his mother. It was creepy but without Snape tricking Voldemort thinking the Elder wand was his, Potter dies so does everyone else at the last battle. I feel he was one of the weakest wizards in the book/movie too. The only skill he had probably was the fact he was probably the strongest potion maker in the wizarding world..

True, if Snape was actually evil like Voldemort he probably would have been his legitimate 2nd in command which I believe he was but since he worked at Hogwarts, it was very subtle that he was. Voldemort trusted him more than I think almost all the other deatheaters until the last book or so.
