I liked what he said about Jerry and Phil. That's how I always thought of it even if Jerry got all the credit. But he got all the credit for Stockton and Malone it seems too.

Rudy's 20 footer looked good too. I think he just needs confidence at that end.

He looks like he could be a bench scorer in the league but will have to get better from 3 to stick around as anything more than an end of the bench option.
Also good points, being benched for Raul Neto and a former 3rd string PG in Shelvin Mack doesn't look too good. Granted he was playing well beforehand, but he's got to put in work behind the arc. Whenever he plays, it's easy to tell when he's just going to lob it from from 3 but not so easy to know whether it'll go in or not.
As for today, the Jazz better pick up the W against the T-Wolves, and hit those FT's

He's looking more comparable to Alec than Gordon because of his D.

Got the W, and even better, Alec Burks is finally coming back next week! I predict he'll be back next Friday against the Clippers, against the same team in the same building where he sustained his broken fibula; at least it'd be more poetic that way

[QUOTE]Barring a setback, injured Utah Jazz shooting guard Alec Burks will make his return to the lineup as early as Tuesday night against the San Antonio Spurs, league sources tell The Salt Lake Tribune. Burks has been out since late December with a broken fibula that he suffered against the Los Angeles Clippers. Burks underwent surgery in early January, and has been out since.

Encouraging. If he can defend and hit the 3 it would be big.

They have been a huge disappointment regardless after the way they finished last year. They are finally starting to look like that team at the defensive end and Mack is finally the veteran pg they have been missing to run the offense. They should have at least been in the hunt for first round home court not fighting to get beat by GS or the Spurs in the first round. When you don't put the best roster you can together or put the best guys on the court you can't use injuries as an excuse especially since LAC have been without their go to guy and Memphis is without their two best players.

While I agree that the Jazz have been disappointing this year, the goal coming in was the playoffs, so it is great that they are at least in position to make it there. Injuries can be used as a bit of an excuse though, missing both your front court players and your starting PG for any length of time sucks, especially when one of them is Gobert who is supposed to anchor your defense. The Jazz however have dropped a lot of winnable games (like at home against the Nets), they just didn't know how to close out games earlier in the year. It wasn't until @Dallas that they finally got that part of the game down. Next year though will be the true barometer of this team's potential, because after that it's $ spending time
