if Curry plays at this level for the next 6 years he might have a case. I doubt it though.

    • Keep this level of production up for 3-4 years
    • Dominate the league for 7+ years
    • Break records
    • win mvps
    • win ships

everything will sort itself out. he should have fun out there and keep pushing the limits for the next gen.

    doc, out.

I don't think he can recover from 0/11. Took a huge hit to his legacy. He needs to win 2 more in a row and put up PLAYOFF numbers that top first 3peat MJ. That might give him MDE consideration but GOAT would take some serious longevity.

    5 things:

    1) Jordan's stats would be higher today due to league-mandated, hands-off defense on the perimeter - the mandatory space between defender and ballhandler allows for freer jumpshooting and less resistance on penetration.. Furthermore, his on-ball, off-ball, and passing game would be made easier by spacing.. Spacing would magnify his capacity to dominate.

    2) Curry's stats would be less in previous eras because he's always played with league-mandated space between defender and ballhandler - he's never played with no space/physicality on the perimeter, which makes jumpshooting and driving more difficult..

    3) In previous eras, teams didn't have 3-point shooting to draw defenders to the perimeter, so defense occupied the paint more - accordingly, the game favored physically stronger players that could overpower awaiting defenders and withstand more physical contact.. No more easy path to the rim or getting all the WAY to the rim.

    4) In previous eras, Curry wouldn't face the spaced-out, scrambling defenses he enjoys today, where his man is always off-balance, allowing for easier shots.. Without teammates spacing out defenders, he'd simply have to work harder for his shots, which is the case for ALL players when they have less spacing.

    5) Kyle Lowry's line tonight: 41 pts.. 14-26 shooting

It's of no consequence. Kareem has 2 FMVP out of 6 and people consider him arguably GOAT as well. Russell isn't considered every FMVP for all his chips. West won a FMVP over Wilt in a LOSS. Bird lost one to Cornbread. Magic is 3 of 5. The list goes on and on. Hell, everyone was calling Pippen the FMVP for Ordin's last chip.

No sane basketball fan thought Iggy deserved FMVP over Curry anyways. LeBron shot horribly period and it was mostly due to TEAM defense, not man to man. Replays of the series show when LeBron would attempt to drive, DrayGOD and company would make like they are going to enter the lane. Bran was shook of the young boy. If anything, Green deserved more FMVP consideration over Iggy or even Baldo for his shot being so broken.

    Same old 3ball stuff.

Opponents FG% drops when they are guarded by Curry.

Also, Curry was #1 in steals last year and #2 so far this year.

I don't think A.W. is wide off the mark here from an offensive standpoint. Who knows, Curry night end up being the greatest offensive threat in league history. But I think his inferiority defensively to the Jordans and Shaqs of this world are greater than the possible advantages that he may possess offensively.

I'm not sure he'd make it to the top, if only because he's not anywhere near those guys defensively. Having said that, he's almost odds-on to end up a top 10 players If he keeps winning titles and racking up MVPs.
