Default have economic and health care issues been resolved?

Why aren't they issues that are discussed on debates or on the news? Why is it all about immigration of muslims? Is this some sort of conspiracy or do people not really care about that stuff

Partly due to Trump because it's a big rallying cry for him and he's driving coverage but mostly due to the state of the world. Economy and healthcare are largely doing well at the moment in comparison.

As I pointed out in many threads before - terrorism works.

As long as the "we are teh most moralist" liberals dont wanna accept what it takes to stop terrorism, we're just gonna keep swatting at it like gnats.

This is PERECT for the people who want to exploit basically anything. Everyone looks at the terrorists, nobody looks at whose got their hand in the cookie jar over around the back door.

Terrorism is corruption's greatest ally. Since liberals dont have testicles, we cant just eviscerate all terror networks at once and get focused on our own business.

Liberals wanna be the nice guys. And the nice guys are getting screwed. Bt at least theyre so much more pergressiver than the stupid redneckses!!!!

All signs point to the economy being recovered from the mess Dubya left us with. The Fed raised interest rates for the first time in nearly a decade. We're experiencing the most sustained job growth on record, added about 13 million jobs. Unemployment rate is at 5% and expected to get down to about 4.6% next year. The economy is healthy and growing.

The elephants have tried a million times to get rid of Obamacare with no luck and with no real alternative.

So all they have left now is fear-mongering. Once some new Kardashian reality TV show comes along, people will get over their ISIS hysteria and Trump and co. will have to fall back on abortion or gay rights as their new focus.

This is the biggest foregone formality election cycle in decades.

Lol Trump has definitely made it a point to keep immigration and terrorism his key topic. Not blaming him tho it's been a smart move for him.

Almost none of that is true. To have raised rates only a quarter percent (something that is relatively insignificant, but has been utilised with well-chosen language by the Fed to manipulate market reactions for years - these people don't say what they actually think the economy is like, but give carefully worded answers precisely so as to distort the market) after 7 years of 0% rates, shows that the recovery has been god-awful. It shows that we've moved nowhere, despite another recession being around the corner (i just hope it hits before Obama vacates and all you chumps try and dump it all on the next guy - which is actually why Hilary might not be that bad).

You think the labour numbers are good, but they aren't: if they were, then the Fed would have raised rates a long, long time ago. Yellen even admitted the numbers weren't great, but that they'd go ahead with the rate-hike anyway (because let's be honest: they couldn't delay and prevaricate forever), and didn't even discount the possibility of moving them back down (that 0.25% could possibly be sooo important is a sign that something's not right, again, yet you are blind to it). But with people like you, elites can conduct unprecedented economic experiments that you don't understand, and be cheered on for doing so. The US economy is stagnant and going nowhere:

There is literally zero chance of interest rates being properly normalised, and i wouldn't be surprised if we end up with negative rates at some point in the nearish future.

You really just parrot what you read in the media, and i just hope, that in a few years, when the fantasies you are being fed turn out to be untrue, that you'll have the decency to change your mind, and not remain a mindless parroter of the New York Times.
