Wanna open up a Swiss Bank account - any tips?
Trying to put a significant sum in one of these banks
Which bank should I look at? I hear UBS is good, but the brand is too popular around the world, looking for something more discreet.
Anyone have any experience with this? The main concern is secrecy, and how well the bank can keep details secure. Gaining an interest premium isnt a concern for me.
Furthermore, I hear some of these banks charge negative interest rate (ie take 5-6% a month), whats the best way to avoid paying that?

That's not what "negative interest rate" refers to

Negative interest rates is when central banks "pays" for banks to loan from them. Some reasons for it is to stimulate economic growth, inflation, devaluate or keep a currency on a standstill etc.

Not really, but it does affect the interest negatively for you as a saver. When central banks issues negative IR they are trying to get you to spend or invest, or anything.

$10 is not a significant amount and I doubt any bank would take that from you.
