The Batman ride is one where you are sitting and your feet are hanging down.... so the botton of the coaster must have hit him and chopped off his head.... ubelieveable...

Sounds like he was an idiot. Sad story but he's responsible for his death.

Re: Teenager decapitated by Rollercoaster
Last week I went on the craziest ride in North America. The new ride "Behemoth" in Canada's Wonderland has the fastest speeds and biggest drop (Pretty sure) for a roller coaster in North America. Scariest **** ever, but unbelievably fun. The 'filler' (Just slow, boring, small drops on most rides to take up time) had a bigger drop then anything else in the park.
Not worth dying for though.

Man I thought it was an accident. Bet you his parents will still try to sue the park for millions. Saying they could have had security there to stop their son from acting stupid. Or they could have built a higher fence

Wow I work at this same park in Mass. I have worked at that ride. I can't believe how dangerous those things are.
People are dumb to go into restricted areas, he probably dropped his phone or something I bet and wanted to recover it.

Re: Teenager decapitated by Rollercoaster
Cedar Park temporarily owned Wonderland, but they lost it (We're too much to handle baby!)
How can anyone roll their eyes to the parents trying to sue. Their son just got decapitated. That day is suppose to be a fun day for his FAMILY, the last thing they told him was probebly "are you hungry" or something like that, and then he dies. They didn't even get to say good bye, I realize it was a stupid move but you can't not feel sorry for the family.

I might have to try Wonderland one day. Cedar Point is starting to lose its zest after going there so often. We did go for Halloweekends last year and that was fun cuz it was something new.

Re: Teenager decapitated by Rollercoaster
I'm lost on how he was able to get killed. Was he searching for whatever he lost while the ride was stopped or currently in motion? Or did he mistime/misjudge the ride that stopped and overlooked when it was started up again...and by that time his fate was sealed?
This stuff happens in movies.

Re: Teenager decapitated by Rollercoaster
Apparently, from the news reports, the dude had to climb two security fences (one of which was six feet high) to put himself in harms way.
Honestly, if someone did not teach him the proper common sense, then I guess Darwin theory kicks in.
As heartbreaking as the story is, particularly to the family, I can assure you my young son knows not to try a stupid stunt like that.
