This happens all the time. Dominant team has amazing year and then let's its guard down against a much weaker team, while the weaker team plays with nothing to lose and goes all out.

hold them to 3-29 shooting from the arc, and force them into 20 turnovers, and they can be beaten. And having a 23 point lead with 3 minutes to go is probably going to lead to a win most of the time, too.
