Best of luck to ya lad. Just remember that money by itself cant make you happy. The Presidents on those bills cant give you good conversation or a sense of satisfaction with your purpose in life.
macmac for instance has a lot of flashy things that impress the youngsters... But what else is there to him? We dont know.
It's great to chase the dream, but chase it as a means to an end. What do you want to do with that success? It's best to have some ideas in mind while youre working toward your goals.

true, true.. as lame as 'money cant buy happiness' is, theres definitely some truth to it.. it does make things easier and make you more comfortable, though

Yep.
It's a very helpful means to an end. But if you don't have some ends in mind, you could suddenly find that the money you worked so hard for isn't making you as happy as you'd hoped.
Happens a fair amount, unfortunately.

8 in 10 Americans are in debt. Assuming ISH is representative of American society that by default would make me richer than 80% of ISH Americans and richer than any SJW here (because lettuce be honest Gender Studies doesn't pay that much.)

ok lol. Well at a certain point there is a diminishing return but not having money makes life much more difficult, and thus, could effect happiness.
Once you have enough money to meet your basic needs the incremental money you receive will not improve happiness as much.
