Default Watch a woman yell at Gov. Rick Scott in a Starbucks

    Good entertainment value for today...

Ouch. A woman gave Gov. Rick Scott quite a talking-to in a Gainesville Starbucks.

    And it's all on video.

In the video, the woman yells at the governor for opposing Medicaid expansion, calling him an "a------" and spokeswoman Jeri Bustamante tries to intervene before the woman says "I'm not talking to you."
“You strip women of access to public health care. Shame on you, Rick Scott,” she yells while Scott leaves the coffee chain. “We depend on those services. Rich people like you don’t know what to do when poor people like us need health services, you cut them."
As she sips her Starbucks on her laptop. That's 'poor' in America these days.

Not sure if the video link will work, but the video on Youtube has 100,000 views in under a day.

EDIT: Just kidding, it does work.

God, you're such a dumbass. Sipping a 2.00 coffee while using your laptop on free wi-fi doesn't make you rich and it doesn't somehow invalidate a complaint over defunding women's health services.

If you make 35K a year you can't own a laptop or go to Starbucks?

First of all, check your wealth privilege, bro.
People who are genuinely and truly poor can't afford to go to Starbucks to work on their laptops. Truly poor people can't even afford laptops.

Stop white knighting. It is a microaggression and a form of covert misogyny. Women are equal to men. Gender is entirely a social construct. Women don't need CIS-gender white males like you mansplaining away all criticism they receive. In the future, please treat women like capable adults who are able to stand up for themselves, and please stop infantilizing them.

If you make 35k a year, you aren't poor.

Unless you make 35k a year and have 8 kids, in which case you are poor, and then you shouldn't be at Starbucks drinking coffee on your laptop.

    Dumbass. Byeeeeee.

Forreal doe. That is the benchmark for being poor according to DeucesWallace, I wonder what kind of wealth and privilege he grew up under as a CIS-gender white male living in Michigan, a state that primarily consists of white males, to believe that someone who earns $35,000 a year is "poor", which is a classist term that is offensive in and of itself.

He really needs to check his privilege.

How do you complain about not being given something for free? The sense of entitlement is unreal.

Point being, if you can afford to sip Starbucks and play on your laptop, you aren't poor.

Until you are trying to make a political statement, then you are poor but only because you don't have what other people have.

And i'm sick of people talking about her being at Starbucks.

You can get a coffee there for 2 dollars and the wifi is free.

But she didn't even have a coffee with her.

thats more of a blanket statement. go to starbucks and youll see plenty of unemployed, "poor" people there that use their free wi-fi to look for work on a daily basis, and just pay the 2 dollar cup of coffee fee to be there.

Dude, you're an able bodied person mooching off of the government. Basically, you're scum. No wonder you take the side of that idiot lady.

    EDIT:

But she became enraged when she said Planned Parenthood would suffer under the bill — and Scott told her to just stop by the county health clinic if she needed help.

"I couldn't believe he was telling me where I should go to get health care," she said.
