Ok so after the season ended i went to check stats at bballref. Mainy interested about Kobe's total numbers(& Curry's single season stats)and where he ended up among NBA All time leaders statswise .

But it quickly drifted to KAJ's ridiculous scoring efficiency throughout his career. So KAJ ofc is first in FGA in nba history and since him and Kobe played for a long 20 years each, check how KAJ's efficiency allowed him to distance himself from another legend of the game like Kobe.

This is by no means a bash thread for Kobe or in fact any other perimeter player as it is impossible to have as high a fg% as an all time great center. Just an observation about how efficiency cumulatively works over a long 20 year span.

So KAJ finished with 28307 fga for his career, 2000 more than Kobe's 26200 fga. Now the mindblowing stat is that while Kobe took 2K fewer fga, he actually managed to miss 2K more of them compared to KAJ. Kobe's total misses 14481, KAJ's 12470

Both legends, both all time top 10, but look what efficiency can do over a period of 20 years.
