Why do people think hoodies look dangerous?
I like wearing hoodies during the cold weather months, but I'm always a liitle leery of putting the hood on because people see a guy with a hood on and they think you're gonna stab them with a screwdriver or something.
Why is that?
How much more likely are you to get shot by the police for wearing a hoodie?

I pretty much wear hoodies every day, even during summer (at night at least).
Never heard anyone say I looked dangerous in it.

Re: Why do people think hoodies look dangerous?
I'm lightskinned but when I wear hoodies coming home from the gym, I pass cops all the time. Sometimes both my friend and I are all hoodied up. They don't even look at us at all. I was telling him the other day how much different it would be if we were black, racial profiling is real.
Hoodies are associated with being a thug because it's linked with covering your face or shielding yourself from being seen or exposed because you're on some type of substance. It's basic to think you don't want to be approached or better yet you can be looked at as an aggressor with it on depending on your body language and description.

Re: Why do people think hoodies look dangerous?
I associate a man in a hood with a drug addict who is ready to kill a person just to find money for a new dose of dope.

I like to cover my face. But I still get racially profiled when I wear tight pants because people can see the outline of my long 12 inch and so they assume that I'm an African American and thus up to no good. I've had the cops called on me like 5 times in the last two years.

When I see a dark-skinned person with a hoodie on, I take the safety off.

I hate those ignorant people that assume that having a long dong only pertains to Black guys. That's disgusting racism at it's finest.

hoodies are only dangerous if you have skittles in your pocket
