Almost as bad as the 6-7 Ben Wallace wiping the floor with a near-peak Shaq in the '04 Finals, right?

1970 and 1973 disagree.

22/13 on 60% isn't that bad. That'd be 66/39 in Wilt's era, tbh.

Near peak he said. Shaq peaked in 2000, that's four years off. Your Alzheimer's is getting to you.

Shaq was near his peak in '04. Wilt was in mid-30's in '70, and coming off of a major knee injury.
BTW, Shaq was badly outrebounded by the 6-7 Wallace in the '04 Finals, and was crushed by the 6-8 Rodman in the '96 EDF's.

BTW, a prime Chamberlain had a season, covering 12 H2H games, in which he outscored Reed by a 39 ppg to 22 ppg margin...all while slaughtering him in rebounding, and FG%. Included were beatdowns by margins of 46-25, 41-9, 52-23, and 58-28.
And in their two '69 season H2H's, Wilt outscored Reed by a 28.0 ppg to 20.0 ppg margin, outrebounded him by a 22.0 rpg to 9.5 rpg margin...and outshot him from the floor by a .688 to .459 margin.

Actually...NO.
When Wilt came out the Lakers had cut a 17 point deficit down to 7, or 10 points, in a span of four minutes. They would only cut 5 more off in the last five minutes....all with Wilt on the bench.
Horrific coaching...the entire series...and the result...the coach quit before he was about to be fired, and his coaching career was essentially over.

So when Wilt played, they trailed by 17. When Wilt didn't play, because he faked an injury, the Lakers cut the lead to 2. Noted. Thank you for your insights.
