LeBron will probably surpass Kobe in the bolded, as well as MVP's, FMVP's, and all time ranking

    lol @ "probably"

if he doesn't win another ring it's 3/7 vs 5/7, once the hype dies down next year people will look at Lebron objectively and put him 8-9 all-time like he should be, he passed Hakeem with his 3rd title but he's not in the Kobe-Shaq-Duncan tier just yet. If he has longevity we'll come back to it but as of now he's at 3 titles at age 31, Kobe was at 3 age 23.

Having Shaq in his prime in your early 20's helps.

Kobe was playing with Kwame Brown, Smush Parker and Chris Mihm in his prime years, Lebron same age was playing with D-Wade and Chris Bosh.

he said bolded which didn't include rings and plenty of non-Lebron fans have Lebron in the top 5. Hyping him is saying top 2 or 3.

Unfortunately for you kobe stans...everyone already had him above Kobe before this championship...all this did was cement it further. . Also, you're an idiot if you think 3/7 vs 5/7 means anything in a debate of who is the better player.

all-stars is something he might not pass Kobe in, points you never know because if he has one injury that limits his athleticism, he isn't going to be a consistent scorer without a reliable jump shot.

Like I said, we haven't seen his longevity just yet, he's had a heck of a run the first 13 seasons but keeping this pace up until age 37/38 in terms of no serious injuries is not something you can just count on to happen. Kobe bounced back from his knee injuries and had 27/6/6 at age 34 and his achilles went, you just don't know man.

It does. All-time rankings isn't just based on talent and averages, you have to account for career achievements and overall skill.

As far a skill goes, there's nothing that Lebron showed me this year that would all of a sudden make him a better player than Kobe. Stat geeks can marvel at Lebron's stats but he's simply not as skilled of a player as Kobe is, which is why Kobe came through in 5 title runs and cemented his legacy as the player of the decade (2000-10). Greatest Laker of all-time > colluding with Wade/Bosh and winning 1 in Cleveland with 2 other all-stars. Lebron was 1 Ray Allen shot and a Draymond Green suspension away from going 1/7. So you can't say that Kobe was more fortunate if you look at how Lebron hasn't suffered any serious injuries and how two of his rings could have easily been lost.

When we are talking about who is greater...you are measured by what you did out there...Shaq was not as skilled as Hakeem, but he was a much more dominant force. Yeah, Kobe came through in 5 title runs because he was so skilled...it had nothing to do with playing with Shaq in his absolute prime. That's why at this point when they have both won championships you can't use that TEAM ACHIEVEMENT accomplishment in a debate like this anymore. The fact of the matter is Lebron has done more with less throughout his career and shown himself to have a bigger impact game to game than Kobe ever did. Nobody but you kobe stans believes kobe is greater...that should tell you something.

All-Star selections is a lock. LeBron will easily make the All-Star game every season the rest of his career just on name recognition. Kobe was terrible the last 3 seasons and still made the All-Star Game.

More playoff points is an absolute lock, LeBron will surpass him after the first round next year

More 30 point playoff games is a lock, will probably surpass him next postseason

More All-NBA Teams is a near lock, dude hasn't missed the All-NBA team since his rookie season, has been All-NBA First Team 9 years straight

Steals is a near lock, he'll probably surpass him in 3 years

Points will be the toughest one for him to attain, but if he maintains a high level of play the next 5 seasons he'll surpass him as well
