It would be a net negative to his legacy. He'd have to go carry a weak team like Sacramento to a title to remove the stink.

Warriors haven't proven they can win a legit title. If Durant goes there and leads them to 1, how would that not be a major accomplishment?
Winning with golden state would be less legit than golden States asterisk 2015 title

One legit all star had arguably better season than Lebron . And one all star was one of the top 10 player in the league .

Bosh missed the playoffs and didn't even make the All-NBA team in 2010, he'd have an argument but he was far from a consensus top 10 player in the league

It's so hypocritical when people like you call the East weak then call Bosh, whom couldn't lead his team to the playoffs in that same East 2 years in a row, a "superstar" or top 10 player.
    He isn't either btw.

Yet KD joining the back to back unanimous MVP on a 73 win roster...that came 4 minutes away from winning back to back titles...who also has a top 10 player in Thompson and another top 15 player in Green (if Bosh was top 10 no way in hell Green isn't top 15)...is about 1500x worst than Lebron joining Wade and Bosh on a completely bare roster.

Oh, and Wade or Bosh never played much less beat Lebron in the playoffs nor were his rivals: Boston and Orlando was.

He'd win a championship, so it would count as much as all other championships.

He is a free agent and should be allowed to go where he wants.

on the same level as Lebald's titles but probably without the ref help, so still slightly legit

A Title is a Title. Nobody is going to care in 20 years that LeBron won 2 Titles with Wade and Bosh. And nobody is going to care in 20 years if Durant wins a Title with Curry and Klay.

That said, as a Warriors fan, I'd prefer we didn't sign him. Not because it would somehow taint a possible Title, but because I like how our team was formed and have grown together organically.
