Soccer is more about skills than athleticism

Ronaldo is very skilled... Probably an above average athletic specimen

    But not elite

Yep , football is more about skills and much more team oriented sport .

Also , Football players don't need vertical , their business on the ground .

Running comparison could be much more fair than vertical .

What I see in Ronaldo's spectacular headers is not so much the jump, but the timing

muscle density is important. if you have less muscle density, then you are retaining water in your muscle fibers that dont correlate weight to actual strength.

Quicker first step? You'd hope so. He is 85lbs lighter and far smaller.
obvisouly lebron is more athletic esp. considering the size of lebron.
athletism is a much bigger factor in basketball.
however to think they are even close in terms of stamina compared to someone like ronaldo is beyond retarded. like wow

    They absolutely need vertical

    Headers off corner kicks?

Nearly all their injuries come from colliding in the air for the ball

Most injuries come from late sliding tackles...

Heading is more about timing . Klose was one of the greatest at that point , and he had not great vertical .

That's not Jordan's prime physique, which was probably 1996-1997. That pic was from around 1990-1991. So if you mean their physiques in their playing prime, yes it counts. But if you meant the best physiques of their careers a pic post-baseball would be better.
