Would The Warriors/Curry Have Been Better Off Losing To OKC?
lets say the Warriors lost game 7 to OKC because Durant had a monster game and the OKC role players stepped up like they had been all series long would the Warriors/Curry been better off rep wise? I think so now the Warriors/Curry will be made fun of the entire offseason for blowing that 3-1 lead and for Curry especially he's been getting trashed because of getting crossed by Kyrie and getting blocked by Bron all series. However, if the Warriors had lost in the conference finals the focus would've been what occurred in the finals between OKC and the Cavs and less so on the failures of the Warriors/Curry.

No. By beating the Thunder, Durant may join the Warriors. If he beat the Warriors, why would he join them?

Once you win 73 games you're going to go down in infamy if you don't win the title. But in this specific scenario, yes, I'd say the Warriors blowing the first 3-1 lead in Finals history is worse, as is Curry having one of the all time great stink bombs in Finals history

In terms of retaining their dignity, yes. That loss could have been chalked up to two superstars finally stepping up whereas the loss to Cleveland came across more like GSW crumbling mentally.
