Covering for themselves for when they lose to lebron in the finals again

Very good NBA starter
Re: Curry - " it'll be tough merging with KD
Nah, it'll be fine. Curry plays at 50% of his ability in the later end of the playoffs, as does Durant.
Put that together and you'll have a bonafide superstar.

I wish these guys would come out in full-blown villain mode declaring all of the rings they're going to win. Would legit have a better chance of me rooting for them.
Except KD. Fuck that guy. Bron handled his decision like a diva but KD somehow managed to one up him in that department. The guy LITERALLY signed with the winningest team in nba history

Re: Curry - " it'll be tough merging with KD
If Kevin Durant is being genuine when he says he went there to have fun playing basketball, this should be no problem.
I can't believe they're turning to this preemptive bet-hedging already. I used to laugh when people talked about how hard Phil Jackson had it taming his locker room egos, but at least that had some validity in the way Kobe/Shaq's styles really clashed. Curry and Durant aren't like that. They're both pretty complete offensive players who can be effective without the ball in their hands, with a coach and pre-established team-oriented culture that takes precedence over any one player. In theory.
There are pretty much NO EXCUSES barring a literal TWO season-ending injuries to their top 4 guys. As the most insane compilation of talent ever assembled on one NBA roster without a single me-first guy on the team... they really should begin an IMMEDIATE run of championships with no more than a couple months learning curve. That's before even factoring in that the West is now the East in terms of sheer predictability and the fact that one of three teams capable of making even last year's GSW sweat was just gutted with this move.
Anything worse than that would really surprise me. Then again...

I can't access that site at work, but I'd be curious to know his reasons. Both of them are elite ISO and off-ball scorers, and command so much offensive attention that it's all but impossible to double one with the other on the floor, not to forget Klay waiting in the wings to capitalize on any defensive breakdown.
